Why is the weather network app not working on iPhone? ›

Here are some possible reasons the Weather app might not be working on your iPhone: outdated iPhone operating system. your network isn't connected. Location Services turned off.

Make sure that location services are enabled in your phone's settings. Check your phone's date and time. The weather app uses your phone's date and time to determine the current weather conditions. If your date and time are incorrect, the weather app will not be able to provide accurate forecasts.

Step 1: Open the Settings on your device and tap "General". Step 2: Tap on "Reset > Reset All Settings". Once the device restarts, check if the weather app is working normally again.

Our interactive local weather TV app on Bell Satellite is no longer available as of August 1, 2021. The local forecast app was more than 15 years old and, unfortunately, the technology could no longer be serviced or maintained. As a result, The Weather Network and Bell jointly agreed to decommission the app.

The Weather app has been removed from your screen, but it still exists within the Google app on your phone. You can add it back at any time. If you love knowing the current weather, check out some other weather apps that you can use on your Android phone.

At The Weather Network, we use the computer model output from many agencies such as Environment and Climate Change Canada. Our meteorologists then select the best of this data and use their own experience to make the final forecast.

Algorithms don't have that kind of discernment yet, which in turn makes app predictions like precipitation and storms somewhat imprecise. Algorithms also can't compete with the human experience of living somewhere and knowing how weather behaves in that particular area.

Visit Settings > Notifications and only allow notifications from those apps that are most important to you (like severe weather alerts). Reduce location services for all your phone apps. Check out the Location services in your device's settings to find which apps are allowed to access your location.
