Air Fryer Shrimp co*cktail (Zero WW points) - Recipe Diaries (1)

This week has been a really good week! Yesterday I paid off my student loans and got my taxes sent out. Hope the week is going well for you guys. Sometimes I don't really know what recipe I'm going to make for this blog. I'd like to get down to a certain posting schedule during the week but I don't think that's going to ever happen. Most of the time I'm inspired by something I see on social media. Weight Watchers had posted a picture of shrimp co*cktail on their Instagram and that made me have a bad craving for this! It's even better when you got all the ingredients on hand.

If you like easy appetizer recipes try Crack Dip, Cranberry Baked Brie, or Simple Smoked Salmon Dip.

Why You Will Love this Shrimp co*cktail

It's pretty easy to whip up if you get shrimp that are already peeled and deveined. Just toss them on a sheet pan and season them with some lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Bake them at 400 degrees for only 5 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink. I like to buy frozen shrimp at Sam's Club.

To make the co*cktail sauce zero points make your own version instead. The store-bought shrimp co*cktail sauce is 3 smart points for ¼ cup but this version is 0 points if you use reduced sugar ketchup and prepared horseradish. Just go easy on that, cause it's super spicy.

  • Deveined shrimp - is a popular seafood that is enjoyed all over the world. There are many different types of shrimp available, each with its own unique flavor and texture. Some of the most popular types of shrimp include white shrimp, black tiger shrimp, pink shrimp, and brown shrimp.
  • salt and pepper - to taste
  • Lemon - This adds a nice burst of citrus flavor to the marinade to help enhance the choice of protein. Use freshly squeezed over bottled juice.
  • For the Sauce
  • Reduced sugar ketchup - can sub regular ketchup if you don't count calories or points.
  • Prepared horseradish - is a condiment made from the root of the horseradish plant. It is commonly used as a flavoring for meats, sandwiches, and sauces.
  • Worcestershire sauce - Adds a savory, umami flavor to dressings. It is commonly used in Caesar salad dressing, as well as in dressings for steak salads and other meat-based salads.
